I don't really know where to begin. The beer, the guy falling, or the guy on high heels. What did you like best?

I like Beer Ads (#34)

A friend reminded me about Bud Light beer ads. Today let's look at "Real Man of Genius". Do you think this is their target audience?

A perfect beer holder

I normally don't encourage people to drink beer straight from a bottle or a can. There is one exception though. Parties! When going to a party you should often be prepared to serve your own beer. Is there a better way to be prepared than like a soldier:)

Beer incentive

Let's do a little imagination exercise. Say you're a priest or a minister. You live in England. Your service is interesting but with all the exciting things outside the church you can't seem to get more people in. Especially men. Even when it comes to father's day.

What do you do? Offer incentives, right.

Well, that's what British clergy decided to do. They offered "a range of incentives today, including free beer, bacon rolls and chocolate bars". Some groups were concerned with this idea (alcohol abuse etc.) but Rt Rev John Inge, the Bishop of Worcester found an excellent explanation for them.

The beer would symbolize the God's generosity. Now that's creative thinking right there. Finally church is trying to find its place again in the modern world:)

Maccabee (#41)

Today I review another Israeli beer. This one is called Maccabee and is also made by the Tempa Beer Industries. Also as Goldstar, I mean.

1. [PRE-REVIEW]

  • brewery: Tempo Beer Industries, Israel
  • type of beer: pale lager
  • bought in: supermarket in Jerusalem
  • container grade (can): not much to say here

2. [REVIEW]

  • the looks: head (small and white), body (light golden with sparkles)
  • the taste: light beer taste, easy on hops and bitterness
  • the smell: light hoppy aroma covered with enormous airy layer

3. [RECOMMENDATION]

I forgot to rate the beer on the video... Probably not the first and not the last time.

I'll have another one but maybe not right away...

I like Beer Ads (#30)

To contrast the Goldstar ads or rather to contrast their message that easy decisions are better ,let's watch the Bud light commercial made for Super Bowl.

My beer opener

Every now and then someone asks me about my beer opener. Where did I buy it? Where can they buy it? To answer your questions (present and future ones) I decided to make a little post about it.

The beer opener was a Christmas gift from my friend Bookie which you might know from some episodes. She's the mysterious off-camera voice. She bought it in a kitchen accessories/gadget store in Warsaw.

Luckily this type of beer opener is also available in US (and probably other countries as well).

I believe that these beer openers from Amazon work the same way as mine...

I like Beer Ads (#29)

As promised on Friday, I'm placing here the awesome Goldstar ads. I wanted to add some description to the posters but I realized I don't need to. They are pretty clear.
