The revolutionary beer

As I learned today, in the following months we will see some new revolutionary beer launched onto the market by various brewers and under various brands. The research shows that beer is much more tasty and has less drunk effect if it is produced upside down. Generally, this means that once the beverage is on the foam, and not under it, it has much more health value. The biggest advantages are as follows:
  • you can drive after even 4 bottles of the upside-down beer
  • you don't have and alcoholic breath (the foam clears it)
  • the production costs are much smaller so we can expect some reduced prices
The first brands to use this revolutionary concept are Guiness, Krug, Amstel and Iguana. To better understand the concept see the pictures below.

I like Beer Ads (#1)

When I think about some of my all time favorite ads, a great deal of them include beer. I was thinking to add a section to this blog concerning beer ads, of various form. If you come across (internet, newspaper, tv, street, other) any interesting (or not) beer ad please send it over (girllikesbeer [at] gmail.com) and I will share it on the blog.

To start I am enclosing one of Miller ads, entitled "She told me we couldn't afford beer anymore". Enjoy! What do you think who was being unreasonable;)

Endless Beer Can

As you have probably noticed I prefer bottled beer over the same one in a can. However I can understand that a gadget I am about to describe can be entertaining for a can beer enthusiast or for just about anyone really.
Found through CrunchGear, I present you Mugen Kan Beeru (the endless beer can). It is a unique concept that allows you to repeat (endlessly) the joy of opening a can of beer.
The price is rather moderate, $9 a piece. So if you want to impress (or not) your friends with one of these, wait until June, go to Japan and purchase the funny beer gadget in Bandai store.

PS. I'm kidding, of course. However the gadget really exists.

And let's look at the review, shall we...

Beer Wars in 32 days

Not sure how I've missed this but there is a very promising movie coming to cinemas across US in 32 days. It's called Beer Wars and tells the story behind the beer industry in USA. We will witness two beer entrepreneurs struggling with big beer corporations to bring great beer to the customer, meaning you and me.
I won't be able to view this film since I don't live in US. However, I highly recommend that you watch it. So you can tell me how great it was.
While waiting for the premiere and/or another video review, enjoy the trailer.

To check if you can see the movie in  your hometown check the participating theatres list.

Open... Drink

When starting this blog I shared a YouTube video to show you how to open a beer if no proper beer opener is nearby. I think it's about time to look at some classic beer release tools.

And why do you love beer
