Asahi (#62) and Singha (#63)

Back from Copenhagen I dive into Asian beer market and compare Japanese with Thai beer. Namely Asahi with Singha. With a surprising justification the winner is... Let's see shall we.

Asahi

1. [PRE-REVIEW]

  • brewery: Asahi breweries, Japan
  • type of beer: lager
  • bought in: a supermarket in Warsaw
  • container grade (bottle): nice silvery style 

2. [REVIEW]

  • the looks: head (light), body (dark yellow going into light orange)
  • the taste: sort of like cold sparkling sake
  • the smell: hoppines

3. [RECOMMENDATION]





Singha


1. [PRE-REVIEW]

  • brewery: Boon Rawd brewery, Thailand
  • type of beer: pale lager
  • bought in: supermarket in Warsaw
  • container grade (bottle): standard one

2. [REVIEW]

  • the looks: head (light), body (dark yellow going into light orange)
  • the taste: more full bodied, big bitterness
  • the smell: hoppiness with lemon touch
3. [RECOMMENDATION]
